A friend of mine currently in Japan made a visit to Hiroshima, and recorded his experiences in his blog, providing a little insight into one of the most tragic events in human history.

“The big thing about this museum was the sheer maturity with which the Japanese see this event. There is no rage, no anger. No one asks “how could this happen?” I was worried that some Japanese would give me the evil eye, looking on me as an American, thinking “Look what you did to us!” There was none of that. There was only “This is what happened.” The message the city wants you to take out is that this should never happen again, anywhere, ever. Peace is the best way.”

Anyway, I think this is a good read. Go read it.
