The main point of this episode seems to have been to show Sara (and the viewer) why Ralph is doing what he’s doing, and it did a pretty decent job at it. While the significant change of character from Sara’s flashbacks to his current state is still a little difficult to believe, it makes a little more now. It’s unclear whether Sara still aims to stop/kill him after seeing what she did, and it’ll be interesting to see what she does.

Other than that, there wasn’t much to the episode. We find out a little more about the Mimic and why Sara is able to bond with it. Ralph violently siezes control of the Deague ship, killing everyone on board but the captain. The ship Sara and friends are on arrives at its desired destination, only to find that the fleet they wanted to meet up with is not there. While I guess it’s fine for there to be so little plot advancement due to the number of other revelations in the episode, I’m concerned that the show won’t be adequately wrapped up with only three remaining episodes. We’ll just have to wait and see, I guess.

So, apparently Gin-chan is still around four millenia from now. Here we see her receiving special enhancements, no doubt in order to obtain an unfair advantage in the Alice Game.
